Starside Design does all of our paint work, including our factory customs. I’d like you to meet Doug Starbuck, who runs the operation…
Starside Design is right here in southern California, and Doug’s work is top notch. He’s more critical and picky about what he does than we ever will be, and we’re very picky. Doug is also very well known in the custom car crowd (if you Google Starside Design, photos of cars he’s done are all over the Internet). Those guys trust his work, and so do we. That’s the way it’s supposed to be!
Now, a bit more on the new CSC Bobbers…the very first one went to In-N-Out Burger Corporation for their charity auction. You know from following the blog…that bike went for a cool $7,750! Doug did the paint on it, and it is (in my opinion) the nicest of the three In-N-Out corporate customs we’ve done…
We’re only doing four more Bobbers, and the first of the four sold before it went into production. Twin Peaks Steve recognized a good thing when he read about it right here on the CSC blog, and his bike is in production now. I grabbed these shots this afternoon…
Steve’s Bobber is the only one we’re doing in this run with gloss black paint. With wide whitewalls and wire wheels, it’s going to be a show stopper.
And the tanks for the next three Bobbers (two in satin blue and one in flat black) were back from Doug today, so I grabbed a shot of them as well. That satin blue is a pretty slick color!
Pretty things, folks, and there’s more to come. Stay tuned!
