I was super busy during the last few days working a couple of hot projects and I didn’t get around to posting this nice note and super set of photos from our good buddy Joel…
Hey Joe,
I thought you might enjoy these pics and videos from my trip up Webster Pass in Colorado yesterday.
I’m on the red RX3 and Mark rode his TT250. It was about 20 miles off-road plus another 140 miles or so on pavement. We crossed the Continental Divide twice, once off-road at Webster Pass (12,103 ft) and again on road at Loveland Pass (11,990 ft).
The RX3 did great, especially considering it’s an adventure bike with off-road capability, not an off-road bike that’s streetable.
I’m running without the bars and side boxes and have the 19″ front wheel, Shinko 804/805 adventure tires, lower than stock gearing (13T/45T) and progressive shock with 375/465 spring. A lithium iron battery too.
We were riding with guys on a DR650 and Bashan 200. Their bikes outclassed mine off-road, but I did everything they did. Except for the DR650, mine was still faster on road. Even with my low gearing, I could easily do 70/75 mph. But I arguably had the best on road handling of them all.
Joel
Awesome, Joel! Thanks for sharing these with us!
