At CSC Motorcycles, our motto is CREATING MOTORCYCLING FUN YOU CAN AFFORD!
Motorcycles have been our business and passion for over 30 years. CSC Motorcycles is the exclusive importer and distributor for some of the most innovative and affordable dual-sport motorcycles in North America – including the RX3 Adventure, the TT250 Enduro, and the new 2020 CSC RX4.
Many CSC Motorcycle buyers are experienced riders who have owned (or still own) many different bikes. But just as many buyers are new to motorcycling, and especially unfamiliar with dual-sport riding. These newer riders are learning how to safely handle traffic, weather, plus the care and maintenance of their new motorcycle.

So, it is understandable why many new motorcycle owners are reluctant to strike out on their own, hesitant to plan or attempt a multi-day motorcycle trip. And that is why CSC has made a consistent effort to organize motorcycle trips on behalf of our owners.
CSC RX3 Adventures touring Baja, Mexico
We are now planning a few trips and rallies for CSC Motorcycle owners for 2019. Stay tuned for specific dates and details soon. But – until then – we will help you get started with organizing your gear and your bike for a dual-sport adventure (whether with other CSC Motorcycle owners or on your own.)
To start, we have linked to an article by Randy Reek that deals specifically with this issue: How to Prepare for a Dual-Sport Trip. This includes road trips as well as off-road riding. Randy is an experienced rider, having notched the Trans-America Trail and the Arizona, Utah, and Colorado Backcountry Discovery Routes. He completed a “bucket list” solo motorcycle trip to Alaska. And Randy is also a TWO-TIME CSC RX3 Adventure owner. You may have already read his account of riding the White Rim Trail in Utah with two other RX3 owners, and watched the videos.

Ask also about the MANY accessories and options available for the CSC TT250 Enduro:
Here are just a few ideas for outfitting your new 2020 CSC RX4 to match your riding style and touring plans:
The first addition to any bare bike should be a rear luggage rack. The CSC rear steel rack fits the new RX4. This rack accepts the aluminum Tourfella quick disconnect top case. The rack also allows for the installation of the standard or tall molded resin top cases.
The current retail price for the rear rack is only $99.95, plus installation.
Adding a locking rear top box adds great versatility to your RX4. Shown above is the Tourfella aluminum top case. This aluminum top box retails for only $249.95. Compare this to other brands for twice this price or more! Plus, you can also buy the matching Tourfella aluminum side cases for $249.95 each.
If you prefer a smaller top box, choose from the standard or tall molded cases. The photo above shows the standard resin top case mounted to the rear rack (This is the same case that is standard on the CSC RX3 Adventure.) The standard top case is only $124.95, or you can buy the tall resin top case for only $149.95. Both top cases include locks and a back rest for your passenger. The tall top box has room for a full-face helmet.
A rear rack is also perfect for lashing on a soft tail pack. Pictured above is the rear rack plus the Moose Racing ADV1 Dry Trail Pack. This is a great, new line of soft luggage that is also an incredible value. There are three sizes of ADV1 dry bag duffels: 25 Liter for $59.95, 40 Liter for $69.95 or the 60 Liter for $79.95. Again, these are FAR below competitive prices.
Also note that a ADV1 dry bag can be lashed across the passenger seat in addition to the rear hard case for long-distance touring.
The Moose Racing ADV1 line of soft bags includes two choices of roll-top, dry bag panniers. CSC will be offering the matching ADV1 Dry Saddlebags in two sizes: 20 Liter for $99.95 or 30 Liter for $129.95. You can not find a better set of ADV-ready dry bag panniers for less!
Both soft and hard side panniers REQUIRE a set of rear support racks. CSC supplies a steel luggage side bracket kit for the RX4 for only $189.95. With these side racks you can install soft panniers, or your choice of the molded side cases or Tourfella aluminum hard cases.
To make it simpler, CSC Motorcycles has also assembled the following luggage packages:
As shown above, each component is ALSO available separately. So you can see there are MANY options for outfitting your new RX4. At CSC Motorcycles, we are here to help you build it your way!
You may even choose to have BOTH hard cases for highway touring AND a set of soft luggage a for off-road ADV riding. The RX4 is ready for whatever riding you have planned!
The CSC RX4 is a new model that will be available in Spring 2019 (and will be titled as a 2020 model.) Pre-production prototypes of this new model were unveiled in the Fall of 2018. At that time, the MSRP price was posted as $5,895.00 including a luggage package consisting of molded side cases and rear top case. After discussions with MANY riders who have placed deposits for this new model, CSC Motorcycles has listened and LOWERED the MSRP price.
The base model CSC RX4 will be delivered in Spring 2019 for ONLY $5,395.00, plus fees. The base model RX4 will be sold WITHOUT racks or luggage. No other motorcycle in this price range can match the standard features of the RX4. The base model RX4 is perfect for the commuter or sport rider who does not require luggage, or only needs soft bags for occasional overnight trips.
Riders can also choose the standard package of molded side cases and molded top box. This package includes the side pannier racks and rear mounting rack for an additional $429.95, including installation by CSC. These “hard cases” are familiar to CSC owners and are comparable to the package that has been proven by CSC RX3 Adventure riders. Side racks, rear rack, side cases and locking top box – plus installation – cost ONLY $429.95! Another UNMATCHED value!
CSC is also making available a larger molded rear top box that will fit a full-face helmet for only $20.00 more. This complete package costs only $449.95, including installation.
Finally, CSC offers a full Tourfella aluminum luggage package with two locking side cases and top box, including the side pannier racks and rear mounting rack. This deluxe package will add $849.95 to the base price, including installation by CSC. Riders can compare this package to aluminum luggage and racks costing $2,000 or more from other brands!
1. To summarize, the BASE 2020 CSC RX4 now has an MSRP of only $5,395.00, plus fees.
2. Owners can select the standard molded luggage package for $5,824.95, plus fees. (That is, $5,395.00 plus $429.95.)
3. Owners can select the standard molded luggage package with the LARGER rear top case for only $20.00 more, or $5,844.95, plus fees. (That is, $5,395.00 plus $449.95.)
4. The deluxe package with the Tourfella aluminum luggage and mounting racks will now cost $6,244.95, plus fees. (That is, $5,395.00 plus $849.95.) This total cost is a $500.00 price REDUCTION of the initial published price!
Owners should also note that all these luggage parts are available separately at CSCMotorcycles.com for customizing later or to mix and match options. CSC also stocks a full line of soft luggage for even more versatility for RX4 riders.
Note: the base price does not include the documentation fee of $55.00 so that you can obtain a title and license the new motorcycle in all 50-states. Also, not included is an incoming freight, assembly and inspection charge of $345.00. When your new CSC RX4 arrives, all you need to do is install the rear-view mirrors, top box, add gas and start riding!
Please see CSCMotorcycles.com for a complete listing of the standard features and specifications for the 2020 RX4.
The bikers in the CSC Shop, lead by Wade, decided to customize a SG250 with the goal of creating a retro, cool little Scrambler. The bike is all finished now and it turned out pretty cool! Check it out.
The first change is swapping out the street tires for knobbies. Above is side shot of the bike showing off the new Shinko Knobby tires front and rear. Installed were the Shinko SR244 series tires, 3.00×17 front and 4.60×17 rear.
In the process, Wade removed the stock rear fender, stock turn signals and the tail light assembly. He then installed a CSC custom tail light assembly and low side mount.
In this photo you can see the mini LED billet turn signals mounted under the seat. This really cleans up the rear end of the bike and continues the bare, minimalist Scrambler vibe!
To complete the look, a matching set of front set of the mini LED turn signal lights and a CSC wire mesh light guard were installed.
Wade kept the stock black megaphone muffler, but wrapped the head pipe in performance header wrap. This is an attractive addition, but is also functional to hide any discoloration as well as deflect heat away from the rider.
Wade started with a stock white SG250 with the orange stripes. He removed all the stock stickers from the gas tank and fenders and put a cool racing stripe in black down the left side of the tank – again emphasizing the retro style of the Scrambler.
To complete the package, a CSC Scrambler handle bar kit was installed along with a set of the CSC blue diamond grips.
All together now and the bike really turned out great! It’s truly a one-of-a-kind and is in the CSC Motorcycles showroom – AND it’s for sale! If you are considering a SG250 San Gabriel and want to add some Scrambler style, give us a call or you can place your order online. For complete specs on the 2018 CSC SG250 please follow this link.
The CSC City Slicker is NOT an electric mountain bike that you can ride on single-track dirt trails. It is designed for city streets, and in this environment it has MANY advantages over any electric bicycle. (See this previous CSC blog post comparison with ebikes.)
The CSC City Slicker is NOT an electric sport bike that will out-accelerate a Porsche 911 (see the related blog post at Exhaust Notes.) But, then again, it doesn’t cost over $17,000.
So what is the “CSC City Slicker“? And who is it designed for?
The City Slicker is a fully-electric motorcycle. It is powered by a lithium-ion battery paired to an electric motor. Like other motorcycles, it has belt drive and front and rear suspension.
As the name suggests, the City Slicker is perfect for commuting, errands, and fun rides around town.
The City Slicker is fun to ride with wide 12-inch tires and plush suspension, front and rear. Safety is also a key feature with large, motorcycle-type front and rear disk brakes.
The bike has a lockable storage compartment (where the gas tank would be on a standard motorcycle.) The ignition and front fork are also lockable for security while parked.
The City Slicker is powered by a massive 3.2 kilowatt electric motor. (Compare this to tiny 500 to 750-watt motors on ebikes.) Top speed is 40 to 42 mph – depending on rider weight. This is ideal for commuting across town. Like any motorcycle, you can ride in the traffic lane of city streets and not hug the curb like a bicycle. The City Slicker is not intended for highway travel. This lower speed also allows the City Slicker to be registered as a “scooter” in many states – check your local regulations for licensing requirements.
In addition, the City Slicker is super safe on the roads with fenders, motorcycle-type LED turn signals, rear view mirrors, headlight and brake lights. You don’t have to add a flash light to the handlebars to ride home after dark, like on a bicycle. Other vehicles can see you from the sides, front and rear – AND you can see where you are going!
Riding range is dependent on speed – that is, higher speeds drain the battery faster. There are two drive modes – Sport and Eco. Riding around town at 20 mph in Eco mode will give you an approximate 62-mile range. That is huge for an electric motorcycle! Riding faster at 37 mph will reduce the range to about 37 miles. All this translates to a “blended” range of 40 to 50 miles in normal fast and slow city driving – which is more than enough for commuting and running errands. The dash includes a battery level gauge as well as a speedometer, odometer, and trip odometer to track your riding.
The City Slicker has a huge 72-volt, 30-amp hour lithium ion battery that is recharged in 6 to 8 hours with standard 120-volts. (Compare this to ebikes with 48-volt batteries.) The electric motorcycle includes the deep-cycle battery charger. The battery is recharged simply by plugging the charger into a port on the side of the bike. The battery can also be removed in minutes for recharging – or to swap in a spare battery (also available from CSC.) The City Slicker also includes regenerative braking to boost battery life.
The 2019 City Slicker is available NOW for only $2,495.00 plus fee’s, in your choice of black and red, blue and white, or red and white. This price is comparable to many electric BICYCLES with a fraction of the features. Some ebikes and 49cc motorized bicycles cost $5,000 to nearly $10,000!!! Don’t forget: this price includes FREE shipping in the lower 48-states!
The CSC City Slicker is great fun to ride. The City Slicker even includes a cool REVERSE gear for ease of parking. The bike includes a 12-month, unlimited mileage warranty. CSC can even provide financing and fully-assembled delivery to your address!
