First Ride Review Of The 2021 CSC Monterey E-Scooter

The CSC Monterey is further updated with modern hydraulic shocks front and rear, LED headlight, LED tail light, and LED turn signals. There is also a USB charging port in the front accessory bin!

Why would you choose the CSC Monterey E-Scooter over an electric bike? Some riders simply prefer the classic style and practicality of the step-through frame. Many riders feel safer on the more stable scooter in traffic because the Monterey has more weight (178-pounds, including the battery) and mass to resist wind turbulence, plus bright LED headlight, tail light and turn signals. The Monterey has lockable storage under the driver’s seat with the option to remove the passenger seat for a rear rack or basket.

Most ebike motors are limited to only 500-watts or 750-watts versus the 2400-watts of the Monterey. This allows the Monterey to cruise with traffic at 32 miles per hour and a range of 25 to 30 miles, making it the perfect commuting and urban shopping vehicle. The passenger seat is great for dropping a child off at school or practice (the Monterey is rated for 300-pounds total passenger weight.)

Best of all, the CSC Monterey actually costs LESS than many electric bicycles! The new 2021 Monterey sells for only $2,195.00 – $350 shipping to most addresses in the lower 48-states, plus documentation and set-up fees of $410.00. This total cost of $2,995.00 is also less than most other electric scooters, but with the advantage of larger, smoother rolling 17-inch wire-spoked wheels on the Monterey.
