Joe Berk’s CSC RX3-to-RX4 Comparison: Final Installment

The comparisons between the CSC RX3 Adventure and the new 2019 RX4 continue:

Hi, folks.  Joe Berk here.  This will be the final installment of the comparisons between the 250cc CSC RX3 and the new 450cc 2019-model RX4.

We are going to look at some individual parts and pieces on the two models. First, take a look at the rear wheel swingarms on the RX3 and the RX4. The larger and more powerful RX4 has a much beefier unit, as you can see below.

CSC RX3 Adventure

The CSC RX3 swingarm. The square tube is formed to accept the rear axle mounting hardware.

CSC RX4

The CSC RX4 swingarm. It appears to be a much stronger unit constructed from machined parts. Also note the robotic weld quality.

Overall, the RX4 swingarm appears to be a stronger and more complex design than that on the lighter and less powerful RX3 – as it SHOULD be!
