We have had a lot of questions about how you charge the City Slicker, Such as, is the battery removable, and what kind of plug do you use to charge it.
Here are some answers to most of the questions and some photos to show what we are talking about.
The battery is removable, it takes about 5 seconds to take it out. Disconnect the red main cable, unscrew the pigtail and twist the key in the side lock and it slides right out.
The battery has two handles attached to make it easy to carry. The battery weighs 35.2 LBS. If you are close to a power outlet when you need to charge the battery you can just plug it in, you do not have to remove the battery to charge it.
The City Slicker comes with its own charger and cables, it plugs into a standard household plug, the other end plugs into the receptacle on the right side of the bike.
This is a shot of the charger plugged into the bike with the battery still in the compartment.
The charger and cables fit nicely into the gas tank with plenty of room for other things.
We are riding the City Slickers every day and are continuing to find out more details everyday, this is a cool little bike and a blast to ride. If you have any questions please let us know and we will do our best to get answers to you as we can.
