High Seas shirts…

It’s weird, I know…

When I shot that video last week I asked people to email me if they wanted a TT250 Baja ride.  I received a few emails saying absolutely yes, and that’s cool.  We’ll do that this summer.   What really surprised me, though, were the inquiries about the shirt I wore in the above video.  No kidding.  I’m a fashion plate, I guess.

Okay, so here’s the deal.   A few years ago when we were still producing the CSC Mustangs, we had a booth at the Sacramento International Sportsman’s Exposition show (that was a fun show, by the way).   The booth next to us was staffed by an outfit called the High Seas Trading Company, and they manufacture really cool cotton shirts in outrageous patterns.   Hawaiian stuff, car stuff, chili peppers, fish, motorcycles, tropical birds, you name it.   On the last day of that show, I bought three of their shirts and I’ve been wearing them ever since.  My favorite is that chili pepper shirt I wore in the TT250 YouTube video you see above.

Your inquiries got me to thinking, so I went online and found the High Seas Trading Company.  It turns out their shirts are US-made, and you can buy them online.

You can guess where this story is going…I bought three more shirts last night, and these are the ones I chose…

You’ll see the above shirts in more CSC videos, and if they get here in time, you’ll see them in the photos on our upcoming Baja ride.  If you want to order from these folks, you can get to their website by clicking here.   It’s kind of a cool website…I spent 45 minutes last night just looking at their different designs.   I’ve been hard at it working on the new TT250 Operating and Service Manual (you’ll get that manual free with your new CSC TT250), and viewing the High Seas stuff was a welcome break.

I’m seeing myself at the end of each day in Baja, sipping a Tecate cerveza from a can lined with sea salt, a bit of freshly-squeezed lime juice in the beer, wearing one of those High Seas shirts, and kicking back before calling it a day.   Baja…it’s right around the corner.  Two more weeks, and we’re on the road.   It’s going to be great!
